Accessibility

The Egmond Wandel Marathon is easily accessible by public transport, shuttle buses and by car. The starting location is at Sporthal De Watertoren, Watertorenweg 36 in Egmond aan Zee.

Shuttle buses

When registering, you can order a bus ticket (€ 3.95 for a return, valid for 1 day) for the shuttle bus service from Station Heiloo to Sporthal De Watertoren in Egmond aan Zee. At the end of the day, a shuttle bus als goes back to Heiloo. If you didn’t order a ticket at pre-registration, you can still do this on site. In this case you pay € 1.05 extra.

The buses from Heiloo depart from the Pastoor van Muijenweg. This is the west side of the NS train station. You can find plenty of parking spaces around the train station. Egmond Wandel Marathon employees are at the bus departure point for your questions. The buses drive back and forth, so you don’t have to wait long.

The shuttle bus service runs from 07.00 till 10.30 hours from Heiloo to Egmond aan Zee and from 10.00 till 17.00 hours from Egmond aan Zee to Heiloo. This is in addition to the regular Connexxion timetable. For the Connexxion timetable, see www.9292.nl or www.ns.nl.

Parking

When you come to Egmond aan Zee by car, you can park your car in Egmond-Zuid or on the Noord and Zuid Boulevard. Follow the instructions of traffic controllers and signs that lead you to the parking spaces. From the parking spaces you can follow the signs that lead you to Sporthal De Watertoren, the start and finish location of the Egmond Wandel Marathon.

Be aware of paid parking in Egmond aan Zee. From November through February, parking fees must be paid on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 until 19.00 hours.

Kiss & Ride

If you are brought and picked up by car, you can make use of a special route for bringing and picking up participants. Sings lead you from the approach route to the Pieter Schotmanstraat, where you can be dropped off or picked up.
